First and Second-Shift Opportunities


We currently have two exceptional opportunities to contribute to the success of our industry leading company by taking responsibility for the human resources needs of various business units and implementing best practices that support corporate objectives. The professionals we select will assist with employee and labor relations; assist with recruitment, staffing, and onboarding of new employees; train assigned personnel; and contribute to performance management, policy implementation, and coaching and mentoring; and assist in the areas of employee benefits, safety, and payroll. In addition, these individuals will be responsible for:

  • Performing HR duties on a professional level while receiving guidance from HR management to support designated business units
  • Assisting with and/or conducting thorough investigations of routine employee matters, safety/performance issues, harassment, and other behavior in violation of company policy
  • Assisting with the recruitment efforts for non-exempt personnel, temporary employees, and internal transfers
  • Conducting employee feedback meetings and taking part in management updates
  • Coaching supervisors and employees regarding route employee-relations matters
  • Contributing to the development, administration, and monitoring of performance improvement plans (PIPs)
  • Facilitating company training as directed by HR management or the business unit
  • Conducting exit interviews and outplacement counseling, completing unemployment discharge questionnaires, attending hearings, and filing investigation documentation
  • Compiling and maintaining reports from the database
Required Credentials:
  • Associate's degree in human resources, business administration or related, or equivalent work experience
  • One or more years of experience in human resources, including employee relations
  • Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws, as well as basic OSHA safety practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of employee relations principles
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong communication, interpersonal, time-management and organization skills
  • Ability to work effectively on an independent basis as well as in a team setting
  • Working knowledge of continuous-improvement methods
  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and meet or exceed deadlines
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and the Internet and document management systems
  • Ability to perform well under pressure within a fast-paced environment and maintain a friendly, professional demeanor with customers and co-workers, and respond with empathy, understanding, and patience to challenging employee/vendor/customer issues
  • Ability to build strong relationships and establish credibility with people from all departments and levels
  • Ability to effectively adapt to new practices, protocols, and preferences from department to department

  • PHR or SHRM-CP
