Coho Partners, Ltd., is a rapidly growing, privately held, investment advisory company in Berwyn, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia. We are seeking a seasoned Human Resources Manager, responsible for creating, leading and executing all aspects of HR-related functions on a professional level across the company. The Human Resources Manager will work closely with senior management to maintain and nurture a positive company culture with a goal of making Coho Partners an employer of choice; to attract new and retain existing talent. The successful candidate will have past advisory company experience, with demonstrated competencies in the following functional areas: career development, standardization of policies and procedures, payroll and benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.



  • Creates and administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual.
  • Participates in developing company and departmental goals, objectives and systems.
  • Administers the compensation program; standardizes and monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
  • Performs payroll and benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees.
  • Conducts recruitment efforts, for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-pathing program; and writes and places advertisements.
  • Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  • Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department and will interact daily with senior management and executive leadership.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment, with casual dress. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.  HR manager will have a private office, along with locked file cabinets.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.


Little to no travel is expected for this position.
