Job Details

The Human Resources Manager will report directly to the VP, Finance and Administration and will be responsible for all areas of human resource management including benefits administration, payroll processing, risk management, employee relations, recruitment and selection, succession planning, and HRIS management.

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Serve as HR point of contact for all supervisors/managers on issues including hiring, performance management, disciplinary action, and termination; provide counsel and guidance on sound employment practices.
  • Organize and conduct annual open enrollment meetings; research and negotiate annual benefit plan rates.
  • Administer all company benefit plans including 401K, medical, dental, Life/STD/LTD, and flexible spending; audit all monthly invoices.
  • Conduct new hire orientations and benefit overviews and enrollments for all staff.
  • Process all payrolls and maintain HRIS database. Process new hires, terminations, changes, deductions, EEO data, and PTO tracking.
  • Manage unemployment claims; handle hearings and appeals.
  • Create and update job descriptions as needed.
  • Manage all recruitment including vendors and postings including both internal and external.
  • Update, revise and distribute company policies as needed for complete compliance.
  • Other tasks and projects as deemed necessary.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be familiar with local, state and federal employment laws, regulations and guidelines.
  • Must be able to work well independently, as well as, within a team environment.
  • Must exhibit exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as active listening.
  • Must be able to multitask, prioritize, and show extreme resourcefulness and problem solving skills. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Labor Relations or similar degree required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Paylocity payroll and HRIS experience a plus.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR preferred
