Job Details

For more than 100 years, Megger has been the premier provider of advanced test and measuring instruments for electrical power applications.  Our products provide testing solutions in the most critical electrical power maintenance areas including cable fault locating, protective relay testing and power quality testing.  We currently have a career opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Manager at our Dallas, TX location.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Maintain records and compiles statistical reports concerning personnel related data (hires, transfers, performance appraisals, terminations, etc.)
  • Assist hiring managers with recruitment efforts including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer letters, and the on-boarding process.
  • Review and approve personnel changes to include new hires, promotions, internal transfers and terminations. 
  • Manage corrective actions and employee relations issues.
  • Responsible for the performance management/performance appraisal programs.
  • Responsible for working closely with insurance brokers to review employee benefit needs and changes in the industry in an effort to recommend benefit programs to management.
  • Perform benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting and approving invoices for payment.
  • Assist employees with questions about and transactions with the company’s retirement savings plan.  Participate as a committee member of the retirement savings plan.
  • Administers and monitors leaves of absence under the Family Medical Leave Act.
  • Provide guidance for employees and management regarding established company policies and practices.
  • Update and maintain the employee handbook.
  • Recommend and implement new programs, policies and procedures for continual improvement and to insure compliance with federal and state requirements and regulations.
  • Correspond with labor law counsel on employment matters.
  • Manage the immigration processes for work visas and permanent residency applications.
  • Responsible for workers’ compensation recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Perform job analyses and manages job description administration.
  • Ensure that employee record files are properly maintained and updated.
  • Manage the employee service award program.
  • Responsible for the affirmative action program, annual filing of EEO-1 report and annual filing of  veterans’ V4212 report.
  • Manage one professional human resources employee at a remote location.

Requirements

  • BSBA or other related degree and seven years’ experience in Human Resources management. 
  • Knowledge of employment laws and processes.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Must demonstrate good judgment, strong written and verbal communication skills, and collaborative interpersonal skills.
  • Must have demonstrated competence in providing HR assistance with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Must display positive and friendly behavior. 
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner
  • Experience in manufacturing and federal contractor environments preferred.
  • Professional human resources certification is highly desired and will be strongly encouraged in order to attain optimal effectiveness in the role.
