Securitas USA is the world leader in the security services field and we are looking for an energetic Human Resources Leader for the Northern Chicago/Iowa area working out of our Downers Grove, IL office. Candidates should have a strong understanding of Federal and State laws, but also have a history of building strong business partner relationships, and improving credibility as well as efficiencies within the human resources function.

We are not looking for your typical HR person. We want an innovative problem solver with an entrepreneurial spirit that has the desire to building strong business partner relationships, and improving the credibility of the human resources department. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of making a difference, setting trends, and making the organization’s business environment better while driving results.

If you want to sit behind a desk everyday this will not be the job for you. We are a fast-paced environment where deadlines are a priority and handling multiple jobs simultaneously is the norm.

Common Duties for this role include, but not limited to:

  • Provides management oversight of HR practices and procedures with the Area
  • Manages Human Resources staff
  • Provides direction and leadership for the recruiting efforts, utilizing broad range of recruitment sources and strategies
  • Handles employee and labor relations (some experience is helpful)
  • Acts to ensure compliance with all Federal and State laws related to human resources
  • Manages the 100’s of other unpredictable things that will come up in the course of the day to provide great service to our employees, business partners and client
