What We Are Looking For

The Human Resources Manager develops, plans, implements and coordinates all human resources policies, programs and practices to support the company’s business objectives and corporate culture.  Key areas include recruitment and retention, benefits, employee relations, compensation, training, and teamwork.

What You’ll Be Doing

Conducts recruitment for management, exempt, and non-exempt staff.  Develops recruitment strategies with hiring managers, sources applicants, screens candidates, coordinates interviews, and facilitates the final decision process.  Creates offer packages to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.  Develops and maintains the onboarding process.

Manages employee benefit programs to ensure programs are competitive and cost effective.  Researches and recommends program options and negotiates with vendors.  Handles enrollments, changes, termination, payment of invoices, testing and reporting requirements, and claim resolution.    

Implements compensation programs including writing job descriptions, participating in annual salary surveys, monitoring market data to ensure compensation is competitive and managing salary review processes.

Coordinates performance evaluation processes.  Revises processes as needed to ensure employees are receiving the appropriate feedback to optimize their performance.

Ensures positive employee relations practices.  Counsels and/or coaches employees and managers and advises management in the appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. 

Implements team building and other initiatives to enhance company spirit, teamwork and relationships between various departments to support the achievement of company goals and to improve employee engagement and retention.

Stays current on relevant federal and state employment laws and other human resources compliance issues.  Develops, recommends, and implements policies and procedures.  Updates management on policies/processes as necessary.

Maintains a human resources system that meets management’s information needs.   Researches and recommends upgrades as needed.  Provides back up to payroll.

Implements employee training and organizational development programs.  May create and deliver management and staff training programs.   

Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Ensures compliance with all government regulations affecting human resources.


What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration, or psychology and at least 5 - 8 years of broad based human resources experience.  SPHR, SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • Bilingual (English – Spanish) preferred
  • Hands on experience in full life cycle recruiting, selection, and onboarding.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to record keeping, policy, reporting, benefits, and other workplace requirements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.  Ability to communicate diplomatically and effectively with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to appropriately manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Customer oriented with the ability to resolve problems.
  • Hands on work style.  Able to work independently or collaboratively and manage multiple priorities.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
