Job Details

The Human Resource Manager reports to the VP, Human Resources & Administration and will work collaboratively with the Human Resources Department and facility management providing superior human resources services to our employees and the facility.  This position will support a broad range of human resource activities including employee engagement, performance management, recruitment and selection, equal employment, employee relations, employee benefits, compliance training, and leadership development.   This is a “hands on” position that requires interaction and visibility with all levels of the organization.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not limited to)

 

  1. Implements human resources programs by providing human resources services including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation processing, health and welfare benefits processing, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance and completing personnel transactions.
  2. Administers various human resource plans and procedures for site personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
  3. Improves manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solution; coaching and counseling managers and employees.
  4. Administers the compensation program and monitors the performance evaluation program
  5. Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefit information to employees.
  6. Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-pathing program and writes and places advertisements.
  7. Handles employee relations counseling and exit interviewing.
  8. Participates in administrative staff meetings updates company organization charts and the employee directory.
  9. Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and departmental results in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
  10. Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
  11. Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  12. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of multi-faceted Human Resources Generalist experience including a minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and change management skills
  • Ability to lead and influence others
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English; some Spanish desirable
