Summary Description 

The person in this position will be responsible to implement and manage all functions of human resources activities working closely with HR and Safety staff. Responsibilities will also include administration of policies, procedures, employee mentoring and relations, talent recruitment and on-boarding, employee record keeping and to ensure compliance with company, federal and state employment laws and practices. 

Key Job Functions 

  • Manage human resources staff ensuring delegated responsibilities and departmental goals are being met.
  • Manage recruitment process from sourcing, developing external employment contacts up to and including on-boarding to ensure a positive experience for new employees.
    • Initiate and make recommendations for recruiting and hiring process.
    • Administer and work with operations team to manage internal job openings and fulfillment.
      • Administer disciplinary action as necessary aligned with company policies.
      • Assure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
      • Administer personnel policies and practices that accurately reflect the company’s values and mission.
      • Implement and communicate weekly, monthly and annual reports regarding human resources activities as a value to the organization (turnover, absenteeism, days to fill open positions, etc.)
      • Assist in providing employee training and development within the facility.
      • Work with safety and health services to coordinate and enhance employee safety and health programs, policies and procedures.
      • Effectively support and foster the company’s open door policy.
      •  Work with and assist in educating company employees, including management personnel, regarding ADP Workforce Now and Etime.
      • Perform payroll functions to ensure accurate, complete payroll cycles.   


 Required Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities 

Bachelor’s Degree from accredited institution in Human Resources preferred.  Experience within the HR field will be strongly considered.

1 to 3 years of applicable Human Resources experience desired

SHRM-CP or PHR current certificate strongly preferred

*Must have knowledge and experience with ADP/Workforce Now
