Psomas, one of the top-ranked consulting engineering firms in the nation, providing surveying, engineering, construction management and environmental services throughout the Western United States, has an opening for a Human Resources Manager in our LA office. 

Description: Currently looking for a HR Manager to join our team to support our Los Angeles, Santa Clarita and Pasadena offices.  Your primary office will be in downtown LA, but will travel to Santa Clarita and Pasadena as needed. The successful candidate will be an experienced hands-on contributor who administers the day-to-day human resources function, with a strong focus on recruiting and retention.

Duties: In this role, you will administer all human resources programs and policies including staffing, compensation, benefits, employee relations, as well as yearly programs such as employee performance appraisals and benefits open enrollment. You will manage the recruiting process in your locations by posting job ads, screening applications and routing to the hiring manager, conducting phone screens, scheduling interview times, prepare offer letters and conduct new hire orientations. 

You may also be involved in special projects as requested by the Regional Office Manager or Corporate Human Resources. 

 

Requirements

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in a generalist role
  • Very strong recruiting background, including experience using an Applicant Tracking System
  • Experience in a professional services environment strongly preferred, especially engineering consulting
  • Ability to cultivate professional and respectful relationships with all levels of employees
  • Knowledge of State of California and federal labor laws.
  • Valid driver license and clean driving record, travel up to 35%.
  • Proficiency with all MS Office products
