Requirements

This position is responsible for the following:

  • Culture – Develop a solid understanding of the culture of MBX and serve as a role model for fellow MBXer’s. Drive planning and execution of employee appreciation efforts and events.
  • HR Compliance – Ensure all HR policies and procedures are compliant with Federal and State employment regulations. Manage required DOL reporting and audits. Develop and maintain affirmative action program. File EEO-1 annually. Maintain other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Strategic Planning – Participate in annual management planning process. Identify and carry out departmental goals and objectives that support short- and long-term organizational goals.
  • Employee Relations – Monitor and maintain employer-employee relationships that contribute to satisfactory productivity, motivation and morale. Collaborate with managers to ensure performance and employee conduct are handled effectively. Serve as HIPAA Security and Compliance Officer.
  • Benefits – Design, plan and administer employee benefit programs including health, 401k and wellness. Manage open enrollment process and communications with benefit carriers.
  • Payroll – Oversee and process bi-weekly payroll process. Ensure employee information is accurately updated in HRIS.
  • Performance Management – Shape a consistent and meaningful performance review process. Collaborate with managers and supervisors to ensure talent is managed effectively.
  • Compensation – Analyze compensation plans and work with management to implement and update plans, while tracking salary surveys for market comparison.
  • Training and development – Work with managers to develop and execute departmental and company-wide training initiatives.
  • Staffing and Recruiting – Support recruiting efforts by providing tools and resources to promote appropriate interviewing and hiring practices. Collaborate on initiatives to enhance recruiting, hiring and onboarding processes.
  • Safety – Develop and monitor safety initiatives and procedures. Investigate all accidents and process workers’ compensation claims. Maintain required OSHA record keeping. Lead Safety Committee.
  • People Management - Foster a collaborative team environment. Oversee and mentor the HR Generalist. Support and coach the management team. 

What does the ideal candidate look like?

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Management or related field
  • At least 5 years of progressive human resources experience
  • SHRM Certified Professional (PHR or SPHR preferred)
  • High level of integrity and understanding of ethical conduct
  • Knowledge of HR information and applicant tracking systems, Google apps, and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Inquisitive and optimistic, and committed to adding value to an organization
  • Team-oriented and also works well independently
  • Strong sense of follow-through on tasks and projects
  • Problem solving skills and also strong interpersonal, written and communication skills
