SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: We are looking for a skilled HR manager to oversee all aspects of Human Resources practices and processes. You will support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives. The goal is to promote corporate values and enable business success through human resources management, including recruitment, performance management, employee relations, talent management, and legal compliance.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and coordinate an organization’s workforce to best use employees’ talents
  • Link an organization’s management with its employees
  • Administer employee services
  • Advise managers on organizational policies, such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of specialists and support staff
  • Oversee an organization’s recruitment, interview, selection, and hiring processes
  • Handle staffing issues, such as mediating disputes and directing disciplinary procedures
  • Maintains employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change data, maintain employee confidence, and protects operations by keeping HR information confidential
  • Analyzes wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plan
  • Consults legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law.
  • Develops and maintains a human resources system that meets top management information needs.
  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. Studies legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts to assess industry trends.
  • Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward Company goals
  • Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance planS, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Administers benefits programs such as health, and dental insurance vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
  • Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  • Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce turnover
  • Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.

  • Organizational Skills: Ability to tackle multiple projects at once.
  • Speaking Skills: May be called upon to speak to staff or their own team.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven working experience as HR manager or other HR executive
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  • BS/MS degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Fluent in Spanish

SHIFT: Monday - Friday (9am - 6pm, *1 hour unpaid lunch)/ Occasional Weekend Work or work extended hours

 

Physical Demands: Will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain. The assistant will also have to do some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.

 

Environmental Conditions: The incumbent is located in a busy, open area office. The incumbent is faced with constant interruptions and must meet with others on a regular basis.

 

Sensory Demands: The incumbent must spend long hours in intense concentration. The incumbent must also spend long hours on the computer entering information which requires attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.

 

Mental Demands: There are a number of deadlines associated with this position, which may cause significant stress.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven work experience in HR or relevant role
  • Experience with similar or related HR software or related
  • Computer Literacy (MS Office applications)
  • Some familiarity with Labor Laws
  • BS in Human Resources or relevant field
  • Fluent in Spanish
