Our client, a national leader in remedial construction and environmental dredging headquartered in Niagara Falls, New York, seeks an experienced Human Resources Manager.  This generalist position will work closely with the organization's leadership to carry out responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, the following functional areas:  benefits administration, employee recruitment and employee onboarding, processing of employment terminations, assurance of compliance with federal and state employment-related laws.

Ideal candidate will have the following requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration with at least 10 years' experience in human resources-related field.  Background in a commercial construction-related organization, preferred, but not necessary.

Knowledge of state and federal employment laws, labor laws and governmental compliance requirements.

Experience with the administration and management of the following: all aspects of group benefits (including medical, life and long-term disability) and retirement plans. Management of leave of absence programs and regulatory compliance. 

Able to handle the process of employee recruitment (including job postings), the onboarding and exit process, HRIS data entry and report creation.  Ability to work with an employee complaint resolution process. Ability to keep strict confidentiality of all sensitive information.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must. 

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
