Job Details

KenCCID is an established Philadelphia leader that provides residential based support to individuals who suffer from intellectual and physical disabilities. We seek an experienced, self-starter to manage and drive the day to day functions of our HR Department.

The Ideal Candidate:

· Can accomplish departmental goals with minimal supervision.

· Has a comprehensive understanding of the multiple federal and state employee rights’ laws with which employers must comply, and a proven ability to ensure employer adherence to these laws.

· Can rapidly identify and overcome employer vulnerabilities when handling employee complaints, disputes, or adverse employment actions.

· Has a proven ability to ensure employer adherence to collective bargaining agreements.

· Can effectively direct and oversee support staff in the accomplishment of departmental goals.

· Has a proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and unpredictable environment.

· Has experience conducting and directing employee investigations.

· Can effectively manage time, tasks, and priorities to ensure all employees’ rights are observed as required.

· Is comfortable being the point person for employee relations’ matters including complaints, benefits, and all employment actions.

· Can effectively communicate and train employees on HR-related matters and policies.

· Can identify and develop policies where needed.

· Is committed to ongoing education and training to remain abreast of employment law developments.

· Has superior written and oral communication skills.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an HR manager.

· Served in a leadership position within the HR division for at least 3 years.

· Experience in conflict resolution

· HR-related certifications

· Competency in the Microsoft Office Suite

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or Bachelor’s degree with SPHR certification.

Physical Requirements:

· Work at the employer site during regular business hours

· Sits long hours

· Read a computer screen

· Type on a keyboard

· Must be able to speak clearly to employees about benefits and employee relations matters

· Drive to satellite locations within Philadelphia

· Climb stairs

· Lift 25lbs

· Bend over

· Work in a noisy, fast-paced, environment with some profanity.

· Retain information
