SUMMARY  

The Human Resources Manager works under the direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer and is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function. The HR Manager ensures compliance with recruiting, staffing, benefits, workers compensation, and training and development. He/she will consult with InterMed management, directors, and physicians regarding HR compliance, operating procedures, codes of conduct, and company policies.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

  • Oversee and direct the recruitment and selection of quality candidates for employment vacancies, ensuring that the organization is adequately staffed with capable and competent employees. Assist in recommending, establishing and implementing recruiting and placement standards, policies and procedures
  • Establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the InterMed’s mission, vision and values
  • Evaluate, recommend and implement employment policies and procedures for the organization
  • Analyze and modify compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements
  • Accountable for operationalizing HR plans, being present and directive to staff, and directing the work of the nine person HR team
  • Function as a strategic business advisor to the executive/senior management team regarding key organizational and management issues
  • Execute training and development plan to develop and engage our workforce to support the delivery of high quality care
  • Monitor Human Resource compliance and execute corrective action plans
  • Prepare annual HR budget
  • Ability to travel to all InterMed locations

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or closely related field
  • Minimum of eight years experience working in HR; specific experience to include recruiting, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, workers compensation, and training and development
  • Human Resources certification required
  • Minimum five years experience supervising a team
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
  • Superior interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Extensive knowledge of employment administration principles, wage and salary administration, employment and other labor laws and employee benefit plans
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills
