Job Details

The human resource manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resources function with an emphasis on HR compliance.


Essential Functions

  • Develops and administers various human resources plans to include safety and Worker’s Compensation compliance
  • Develops, recommends and implements HR policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures
  • Responsible for administering all HR communications throughout the organization
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws
  • Maintains an attitude and philosophy consistent with the company's standards
  • Handles employee relations matters
  • Assists with administration and interpretation of various labor agreements, administration of grievance and arbitration procedures and labor relations contract negotiations

 

 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Human Recourses Manager (experience in the distribution, manufacturing or similar industries preferred)
  • Experience within a union environment highly preferred

 

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred

  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred
