Job Details


Responsible for administering all aspects of Company human resource policies and functions.  Responsible for the effective performance of various human resource functions, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, compensation, benefits, employee relations, training, payroll, and for insuring corporation-wide compliance with EEO, ADA, OSHA, and other governmental regulations.  Provides recommendations to Senior Management in establishing overall human resource objectives, policies, and plans.  Ensures Human Resource activities are conducted in accordance with established Company policies and procedures.  Assigns, directs, and appraises Human Resource personnel.  Responsible for facility events and celebrations.



  • Responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of effective human resource strategies and policies.
  • Assist Senior Management in developing short and long-term objectives, goals, and strategies.
  • Ensure human resource strategies and policies are consistent with established Company-wide goals.
  • Administer operational plans, policies, and goals which further strategic objectives.
  • Serve on advisory boards and committees as requested.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation, and updates policies to ensure compliance.
  • Responsible for the effective performance of human resource functions.
  • Recommend and manage wage/labor policies based on objective data regarding competition, profitability, business conditions, and the economic environment.
  • Ensure effective administration of the Company’s compensation, benefits, pension, and incentive programs.  Provide recommendations to Senior Management that ensure appropriate service delivery and effective cost management.
  • Ensure accurate, updated personnel information is provided to other departments and to governmental organizations as required.  Ensures external document submissions are accurate and timely.
  • Develop and administer an effective recruitment program.
  • Oversee job classification and the updating of job descriptions.
  • Work to resolve employee relations issues according to Company policies and applicable legal requirements.
  • Ensure all human resource functions, including recordkeeping, interviewing, hiring, promotions, and terminations, are conducted in accordance with established Company policies and applicable legal requirements.  Oversees compliance with related federal and state legislation.
  • Ensure training programs are consistently implemented.
  • Oversee implementation of the Affirmative Action Plan and related goals.
  • Ensure human resource policies are updated and communicated to management and staff.  Provides advice and interpretation regarding human resource policies as they relate to individuals and to Company objectives.
  • Ensure successful event planning and communication.
  • Effectively supervises Human Resource personnel, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Provide leadership to staff through effective objective setting, delegation, and communication.  Conducts staff meetings as required. 
  • Ensure personnel are well trained, effective, and optimally used.  Instructs personnel regarding policy, procedure, and program changes.
  • Conduct performance appraisals as required.  Formulates and implements corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure staffing levels are appropriate.
  • Assist and support Department personnel as needed.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Company personnel and management.
  • Assist and support personnel as needed.
  • Ensure employee payroll, benefits, and personnel questions are promptly and courteously resolved.
  • Ensure management is appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
  • Complete related reports accurately and timely.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Responsible for maintaining professional working relations with human resource organizations, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure effective coordination of Company representatives, governmental officials, and business contacts.
  • Represent the Company with various trade professionals and groups.
  • Ensure the Company’s professional reputation is maintained.
  • Ensure questions and concerns are promptly and courteously resolved.
  • Responsible for related duties as required or assigned.
  • Stay informed of trends and changes in the human resource field.  Attends seminars and professional conferences.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Ensure work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.


  1. Department personnel are well trained, effective, and efficient.  Appropriate supervision and assistance are provided.
  2. Human resource policies comply with legal requirements and meet the Company’s needs.
  3. Personnel records, documents, and filings are complete, accurate, and timely.
  4. Human Resource Department plans and functions complement, support, and further Company objectives.  Appropriate human resource and operations policies are developed and updated as needed.
  5. Good communication and coordination exists with departments.  Assistance is provided as needed.
  6. Senior Management is appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
  7. Effective business relations exist with governmental, trade, and business professionals.




  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred, or equivalent experience and education.
  • PHR or SPHR certification a plus. 


  • Knowledge of human resource laws and regulations.
  • Understanding of compensation and benefits policies and programs, employee relations practices, and recruitment techniques.


  • Three to five years of progressive experience in human resource positions.
  • Supervisory experience required. 
  • System implementation experience is preferred


  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communications abilities.
  • Solid interpersonal and supervisory abilities.
  • Effective project management abilities.
