Work With Us

We are seeking a full-time Human Resources Payroll Specialist to oversee payroll administration within the Department of Human Resources. This role is responsible for the preparation and processing of all payroll activities and provides review and analyses of payroll information. This position requires an extremely detail orientated person with significant knowledge of payroll administration, including state and federal regulations.

  • Works closely with a third party administrator to process the bi-weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now
  • Ensures completeness and accuracy of employee records in HRIS, reviewing all effective changes in insurance coverage, pay and tax rates, location, and other personnel actions as appropriate
  • Ensures bi-weekly time cards are complete, accurate, and approved prior to transmission
  • Prepares special reports for HR department, management, government agencies, and auditors as requested
  • Supports HR functions including the employment process, record maintenance, reporting, and compliance



  • Associate’s degree or higher in a relevant field
  • Three to five years of previous payroll/HR experience
  • Strong HRIS knowledge and experience, ADP Workforce Now preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Extremely detail-oriented with an ability to maintain accuracy and work quality under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen ability to prioritize and multi-task to effectively adhere to and meet deadlines
  • High-level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
