Job Details

Charter NEX Films is now hiring for a Human Resources Representative in the Turners Falls Plant. Charter NEX Films is the leading independent manufacturer of high performance plastic films. Our films are ideal for markets including: food/beverage, health care, customer goods, pet food, and surface protection.

This position is primarily responsible for supporting the vision and goals of Charter NEX by partnering with plant-level leadership to carry out and/or implement human resources practices that meet business needs and support an overall positive and engaging plant culture. This position directly reports to the Corporate HR Manager.

Employee Responsibilities:
Key areas of focus include:

  • Assisting with the resolution of plant-level employee relations issues

  • Non-exempt employee recruitment/staffing and onboarding

  • Accurate/compliant timekeeping

  • Performing all benefits administration including approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to employees.

  • Maintain Human Resources information system records and managing personnel files

  • Ensuring compliance with local, state and federal laws/regulations

  • Administer applicable internal policies and practices as defined by the organization’s Employee Handbook.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field OR equivalent years of related experience
  • 3 years of relevant Human Resources Generalist experience is required.

  • PHR certification as well as Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
