Join us as a Human Resources (HR) Risk Analyst

 

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting an HR Risk Analyst to join our team. In this role you will assist in the design of the overall risk mitigation environment and the development of controls for the HR Department. You will support members of the Human Resources function and ensure that a proper control environment exists for HR processes, programs and implementation activities. You will also be responsible for implementation and maintenance of Firm-wide risk initiatives and also manage HR’s vendor management program and other HR risk activities.

 

Some of your key responsibilities include:  

 

•Identify and assess current and future operational and other risks related to the Human Resources business.

•Support HR and firm-wide risk management objectives and goals and assist in the design of the overall risk mitigation environment.

•Develop corrective action plans designed to mitigate identified risks.

•Assist management in establishing processes, documentation and controls to manage legal, tax, regulatory, operational and reputational risks for HR.

•Identify patterns and trends to solve risk related problems.

•Develop and coordinate risk-related training for HR staff (including creation of quarterly newsletter).

•Manage HR’s Vendor Management program.

•Assemble and present risk based reports to senior management.

  • Provide the Employee Relations team with support, as needed. Responsibilities may include conducting exit interviews, managing reasonable accommodation requests, etc.

Requirements

 

Qualifications:

 

•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

•5+ years of relevant risk, compliance, human resource, legal or regulatory experience

•Ability to effectively articulate risk management policies and methodologies

•Ability to analyze business processes to identify risks, assess risk levels and identify mitigating controls

•Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment

•Excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify patterns and trends

•Strong relationship management, negotiating and influencing skills

•Strong written and oral communication skills

•Experience with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Word
