Reporting directly to the Vice President of People Services (PS), the Operational Services Leader serves as a senior leader within People Services who will lead a dynamic team that must have a thorough understanding of PS operational functions including compliance, workers comp, HRIS, employee-manager self service delivery, and employee relations strategies.  The leader will focus on entrepreneurial, non-traditional approaches to provide relevant, customer driven solutions to operational challenges.  



 

The successful Leader will have demonstrated experience in the ability to:       

  • Be able to lead, manage, and develop a team of PS Consultants to provide day-to-day operational human resource expertise and coaching

  • Understand current and best practices relative to workers compensation and leave management (FMLA, leaves of absence, etc.)

  • Be knowledgeable in the areas of ADA

  • Be familiar with regulatory compliance policies and practices related to aviation industry

  • Have the ability to provide leadership for operational and administrative HRIS systems

  • Be able to design and implement manager and employee self-service pathways using human and technology strategies

  • Have strong ability to use metrics and performance dashboards to analyze and measure performance Have ability to develop strong collaborative relationships at all levels of the organization and within PS in order to align operational services with business goals priorities

  • Have experience with unions and working within multi collective bargaining agreements

Requirements

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education

  • 7-10 years HR experience, including experience in a leadership role

  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word

  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language

  • Possess the legal right to work in the United States

  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification a plus
