TITLE: Manager, Benefits & Compensation

MISSION/ROLE: The Manager, Benefits & Compensation will support the Senior Director of Rewards in managing the necessary compliance, reporting, analysis, and communication related to Cole Haan’s overall compensation and benefits programs.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Benefits
• Manage Benefits Open Enrollment
• Manage benefit plans compliance activities, including:
o ACA reporting
o Form 5500’s
o Non-discrimination testing
o Benefit appeals
• Manage day to day vendor relationships, including:
o Participant inquiries and escalations
o Billing
o Tracking expenses and utilization
o Making recommendations for plan changes

Compensation
• Support management of compensation for new hires and on-going salary administration process for employees
• Manage and maintain compensation banding structure
• Maintain and update compensation benchmark data for all corporate and retail positions
• Support compensation program planning activities including:
o Develop budgets for merit pay and bonus pools
o Administer compensation planning tools and provide user assistance and training
o Provide on-going and ad hoc reports related to compensation planning
• Participate in compensation and benefit surveys
• Track legislative and regulatory changes that impact compensation including FLSA and minimum wage laws

Communications
• Draft, edit and disseminate compensation and benefit related employee communications, including:
o Open enrollment materials
o Benefit program summaries and Summary Plan Descriptions
o Rewards statements
o Compliance notices
• Identify new channels and tools for communicating with employees, and help to evolve HR communications strategy
• Develop HR communications platforms, tools and messaging

 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 5 years of compensation and benefits experience, including program administration, communication and compliance activity
• Ability to communicate complex topics to diverse workforce through multiple channels
• Previous experience with ADP including reporting tools
• Experience with Companalyst desired
• Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to identify and resolve issues
• Business acumen
• Ability to work in fast paced environment with shifting priorities
• Special projects as assigned
