Founded in 1975, The Help Group is the largest, most innovative and comprehensive nonprofit of its kind in the United States serving children with special needs related to autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, ADHD, developmental delays, abuse and emotional problems.

We are looking for a Human Resources Manager for our Culver City campus with the demonstrative ability to be a “working manager” with an enthusiastic, “roll up your sleeves” work style, as well as having the proven ability to work successfully in a team-based environment. Requires a team player who can build relationships to get the job done. The Human Resource Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and generalist duties of the human resource function, with emphasis on Employee Relations, Recruitment and Generalist duties.

Qualifications:

At least 3-5 years of direct HR generalist experience, either as a Human Resources Generalist and/or Manager, and successful work experience leading a Human Resources role and/or team. This individual will have the skills needed to work on a PC and be able to work extensively with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ADP, etc. We prefer applicants with PHR certification. 

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Coordinate and assist Director of Human Resources in various Human Resources functions.
  • Plans, organizes and controls all activities in Culver City’s campuses and programs. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Implements personnel policies and procedures; educates supervisors and employees on policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for onboarding new employees and ensures 90 day reviews occur
  • Assist supervisors on how to write a performance review.
  • Handles on site workers compensation.
  • Responsible for ER issues in coordination with Manager, Employee Relations.
  • Responsible for exit interviews.
  • Works on employee morale programs for Culver City campus.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings.
  • Evaluates reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals.
  • Monitor and follow up on State and Federal Posting Requirements for campuses.
