ACDI/VOCA has approximately 50 projects in 30 countries and total revenues of approximately $174 million.
We are seeking a D.C.-based Manager, Staff Training who will manage all employee training activities, both instructor-led, online and virtual. This position will collaborate with experts to design and deliver instructor-led and e-learning courses for HQ and overseas staff. They will oversee components of Onboarding activities and training. They will contribute to the planning and design of overseas training workshops. This position supervises one Staff Learning Assistant. This person will report to the VP, Talent Development.
Primary activities include but are not limited to: collaborating with team members, stakeholders, and Subject Matter Experts (SMES) to design and deliver courses at HQ, including the development of objectives, design of the session content, and evaluation; managing multiple training offerings to include the marketing and communications of upcoming events; planning and executing instructional design projects from analysis through evaluation; creating and maintaining an annual training calendar; designing and developing eLearning courses; and working with the VP Talent Development to manage the execution of the HQ onboarding program and overseeing field onboarding efforts.
In addition, this position will be responsible for managing overseas training events. They will facilitate and/or support internal instructor-led training sessions and design and conduct virtual training sessions using web conferencing software. They will work closely with the Sr. Director of Learning Technologies within the Learning Management System (LMS), managing content, creating events, and creating usage reports. This person will conduct teambuilding events, including DiSC personality assessment tool sessions. In addition, they will design and deliver training sessions on interpersonal skills and leadership skills. They will also be responsible for managing vendor/partner relationships.
Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in instructional design, human resources, instructional technology, or related field (additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of advanced degree), with at least 7 years of experience developing and delivering training and/or eLearning. Demonstrated excellence in oral, written, reading, and listening comprehension abilities. Experience with eLearning development software. Experience and/or interest in working with a global audience. Fluency in English is required. Additional French and/or Spanish skills are a plus. The ability and willingness to travel internationally is required.
*Finalists will be required to provide work samples and deliver a brief training demonstration.
