Founded in 1975, The Help Group is the largest, most innovative and comprehensive nonprofit of its kind in the United States serving children with special needs related to autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, ADHD, developmental delays, abuse and emotional problems.

We are looking for a resourceful, Manager, Talent Management with experience working with diverse teams. The successful candidate will lead by example and roll up their sleeves to get the job done in this dynamic, team-based environment. The manager will focus on recruitment, training and retention and will work to build a Best-In-Class Talent Acquisition and On-Boarding Program to welcome new employees and ensure that the organization continues to fulfill its mission to serve children with special needs. Manager will be responsible for developing training and development throughout the agency.

Responsibilities include:

Working with the Director of Human Resources and the HR team, the Manager, Recruitment, Training and Retention will achieve the following:

  • Conduct recruitment effort for all exempt, nonexempt and temporary employees, write and post advertisements, maintain recruitment records and reports, including applications and resumes.
  • Manage the applicant tracking system
  • Develop and maintain a recruiting calendar
  • Develop relationships both internally and externally
  • Attend university job fairs
  • Develop recruitment procedures
  • Develop retention strategies
  • Manage new-employee orientation program
  • Supervise recruiters
  • Participate in HR staff meetings and attend other meetings.
  • Monitor and follow up on State and Federal Posting Requirements.
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree, 5-7 years progressively responsible Human Resources experience
  • Strong leadership, presentation and communication skills
  • A pro-active, high energy attitude geared toward achieving goals
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems
  • Analysis of turnover and exit interviews
