Job Details

Specific Functions

  • Provide day-to-day management for areas of human resources management related to recruiting, hiring, onboarding, benefits management, legal and regulatory compliance, compensation management, employee relations and performance management.
  • Assess, benchmark, develop and maintain human resources policies and procedures that comply with applicable legislation, and ensure consistent application of those policies and procedures.
  • Act as a resource to managers for employee relations and performance issues.
  • Investigate employee complaints and concerns, including issues related to harassment or discrimination.
  • Provide information related to unemployment claims and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission claims, working closely with legal counsel and managers as necessary.
  • Provide training and specialized communications to managers and employees on human resources issues and policies.
  • Oversee and direct the work of HR Services staff members in the delivery of internal and external recruiting activities and the management of the hiring and onboarding process for permanent, temporary and loaned employees.
  • Oversee and direct the work of the Sr. Benefits Administrator in the delivery of company benefits plans, including all benefits plan management and administration, -annual plan reviews and plan design changes, and open enrollment. Ensure legal and regulatory compliance for all benefits plans.
  • Oversee and direct the work of a Compensation Administrator in the delivery of market compensation analysis, the preparation of compensation related documents for senior leadership analysis and presentation, and the annual merit and bonus process.
  • Oversee and direct the work of an HR Specialist in the delivery of the on-loan and reverse loan programs.
  • Oversee and direct the work of the HR Specialist in the delivery of an accurate HRIS.
  • Oversee and direct the work of an HR Specialist in the delivery of the performance management process.
  • Oversee and direct the work of a Wellness Coordinator in the delivery of company wellness initiatives and operations of the on-site fitness facility.
  • Provide oversight of the preparation and distribution of information necessary to support INPO’s fitness-for-duty and unescorted access programs that are deemed effective by the nuclear industry.
  • Provide information related to human resources metrics on an as-needed basis and through the quarterly Management Review Meeting.
  • Provide oversight of the preparation and maintenance of a current Affirmative Action Program.

 

Specific Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong knowledge of human resources including. but not limited to, recruiting, hiring, onboarding, benefits management, legal and regulatory compliance, compensation management, employee relations and performance management.

Requirements

Education/Certification

Required for Consideration

  • Bachelor degree

PREFERRED

  • Bachelor degree in specialty area
  • Relevant certification(s) in specialty area
  • Graduate degree

 

Experience

Required for Consideration

  • Five years in supervisory capacity in specialty area

PREFERRED

  • Familiarity/experience with the electric utility industry, including nuclear power plants
