Job Details

We are looking for a dynamic payroll professional looking to utilize their excellent organizational skills in a rapidly growing manufacturing environment. 

The payroll and benefits specialist performs payroll support and backup tasks essential to processing paychecks and complying with federal, state and local wage and hour standards. Duties include gathering and auditing timekeeping data, resolving related issues and inputting terminations and pay adjustments in the system. They also enter and updates statistical, financial and employee data including direct deposit, tax withholding and wage garnishments; and develops spreadsheets and reports to verify accuracy.

In addition, the payroll and benefits specialist has overall responsibility for benefits administration along with employee health and safety. 

Requirements

 

  • Four year degree in business, human resources or other relevant field of study.
  • Minimum three years experience working in Payroll and Benefits, preferably in a plant/manufacturing environment. 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience administering employee health and safety programs to include work comp. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read, write and speak fluent Spanish a plus
  • SHRM-CP and/or PHR designation preferred
