Job Details

Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Office, the People Development and Communications Consultant will collaborate internal stakeholders to design, develop and implement programs to support employee development and growth. This will be done through creating OD solutions, facilitating trainings, workshops and strategically communicating to drive organizational effectiveness and engagement.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Talent Management / Organizational Development

Works with the HR and leadership team to support Talent and OD initiatives, including learning and organizational development needs in areas such as engagement, performance management, competency improvement and leadership development.

  • Co-create the Solutran University experience, providing recommendations and developing curriculum for instructor-led, on-line and blended solutions to support the learning and development strategy and business needs
  • Works as part of a cross functional team to select, design and develop blended learning programs
  • Evaluates program results and reports on metrics to assess the overall effectiveness of learning initiatives
  • Collaborates with a variety of internal and external stakeholders (e.g. managers, VPs, HR team members, vendors) to identify training needs and implement solutions within the organization
  • Manages OD, Talent and Training projects and associated resources
  • Creates and implements ad hoc OD programs as needed


  • Builds effective employee communications to enhance corporate culture, employee engagement and organizational effectiveness
  • Helps build content and branded messages for company meetings
  • Maintains collaborative relationships across all areas of the business to ensure alignment of communications to business priorities from a holistic perspective
  • Creates and maintains the Solutran Communications toolkit for groups to use when communicating within their departments strengthening two-way channels for leadership/employee dialogue
  • Manages and maintain stakeholder list/database
  • Designs program metrics and reporting for communication activities
  • Develops and manage content for relevant SharePoint sites
  • Develops internal social media strategy and usage plan related to communication deployment
  • Supports the brand initiative by driving targeted messaging and content across various communication platforms
  • Develops and delivers feedback mechanisms to facilitate accurate messaging and continuous improvement and effectiveness of communications

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Three to Five years of Talent Management, Learning and Development or Change Management experience required
  • Proven experience at effectively communicating content across various channels and forums
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design, adult learning theory and instructional delivery options.
  • Strong project management, presentation skills and demonstrated ability to influence required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including platform and presentation skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • High level of organizational and time management skill
  • Ability to understand business needs and processes
  • Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills
  • Proven experience being effective in a dynamic, fast paced, results oriented environment
  • Experience working with desktop publishing software, graphic design or photo imaging software, and multimedia authoring tools, video creation and editing software (i.e. Adobe Systems).
  • Knowledge of learning and HR technologies, including e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate or Captivate.
