Basic Function

The Los Angeles Metro's Talent Acquisition Department is recruiting for a Principal Human Resources Analyst. This position will be working in a team environment and be responsible for performing a variety of the most complex professional, technical and analytical classification and compensation activities related to the development and maintenance of the agency’s compensation system. Candidate's will demonstrate the advanced professional skills in the areas described above to be placed in the Qualified Candidate Pools (QCP's) for open positions within the agency.

 

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following criteria beyond the minimum qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate, persuade and involve diverse stakeholders using a customer service focus
  • Demonstrated ability to lead assigned teams as well as classification compensation projects

 

Note: Additional requirements may be assessed based on the needs of each position. Candidates will be notified of those additions at the time of the interview beyond the Qualified Applicant Pool.

 

Requirements

Requirements for Employment

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration or other related field
  • 4 years' senior-level experience performing complex human resources work related to compensation and classification
  • Master's degree in Business, Public Administration, or related field AND/OR possession of a professional certification in Human Resources or other related field is desirable
