At Employee Benefits Corporation, creating and maintaining meaningful relationships around our trusted brand of “making things easy” for our clients is key to our success.  Employee Benefits Corporation is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Product Specialist.  The Product Specialist is responsible for managing the company’s COBRA and CommuteEase product solutions.  As a subject matter expert on all aspects of these product solutions, the Product Specialist is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of service, while maintaining compliance with Federal and State regulations.  As the primary point of contact, this role provides ongoing monitoring and operational oversight, facilitates issue resolution and participates in implementation and continuous improvement initiatives related to the COBRA and CommuteEase product lines.  Reporting directly to the EVP of Operations, the successful incumbent will have the autonomy to drive results and impact change.

 

Some of the more specific duties include:

  • Develop expert knowledge for the assigned products including product regulations, product design, business processes, vendor technology solutions and internal technology support solutions
  • Coordinate support across various stakeholders to ensure successful onboarding of clients to the assigned products
  • Work collaboratively across the organization to proactively identify trends and potential issues
  • Monitor and manage issue reporting and resolution internally and with third parties
  • Develop and implement processes to resolve gaps in workflow effectiveness and increase product growth and customer satisfaction
  • In partnership with the Executive Vice President of Operations, establish annual goals and develop reporting to measure effectiveness
  • Communicate and reinforce changes in operational policies and procedures
  • Assist in the implementation and training of software releases and integrated product solutions
  • Provide customer centric service to internal  and external customers on product-related accounts, plan design and plan administration
  • Proactively identify customer communication needs
  • Continually review third party solution provider capabilities and identify opportunities for additional advances and efficiency in operational interaction
  • Contribute toward enhancing client experience and process and product improvement through observation, trend identification and customer feedback
  • Reconcile invoices and reports from third parties

 

Requirements

Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor Degree in Business or related field (which may be substituted by four years directly related experience or a combination of education and experience).  A minimum of three years’ experience working with pre-tax plans and/or COBRA/Billing Services is also required. 

Other qualifications are:

  • Ability to build, sustain and foster relationships at all levels of an organization
  • Knowledge of project management, implementation theory and methodologies
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, utilizing proper grammar, syntax and excellent business acumen
  • Excellent problem solving skills, and highly adaptable   
  • Self-motivated, able to learn quickly and research issues independently and with limited direction
  • Intermediate working proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and basic working proficiency with Microsoft Power Point 
  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally to an outside client, meeting or conference, requiring some overnight stays
