Job Details

The Recruiter and Talent Advisor is responsible for leading and executing the full life cycle talent acquisition and development strategies and processes for all faculty and staff positions at the University.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Consult with University leaders on effective strategies to achieve talent needs through development and acquisition
  • Deliver against University hiring needs and challenges in support of our strategic growth plans
  • Manage and execute full cycle recruiting including talent planning, sourcing, assessment and selection and closing and onboarding top talent
  • Deliver a high touch, service oriented experience to every hiring manager and candidate
  • Achieve goals by building and maintaining strong relationships with University leaders, hiring managers, candidates, Human Resources team and agency partners
  • Leverage innovative and efficient sourcing strategies to attract candidates. Use employee referral, recruiting boards, internet, social media, own professional network and industry and community organizations to build a strong talent pool – with particular focus on diverse talent
  • Ensure candidates remain highly engaged through the entire talent acquisition process
  • Coach and train hiring managers on talent planning, assessment, and selection processes, using excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills to build skills and gain alignment where needed
  • Nurture own professional network and maintain strong technical knowledge of recruiting best practices, cutting edge trends and legislative/regulatory updates
  • Improve existing or identify different, optimal processes, tools, resources and approaches to accomplish objectives by utilizing data and metrics to inform change
  • Represent department and the University favorably and in accordance with established Core Values and expectations



  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 8-10 years full life cycle, professional recruitment experience required
  • Professional experience in healthcare or higher education a plus
  • Experience developing strategies to support organizational goals and objectives required
  • Highly developed technological and analytical acumen
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
