Incumbents are responsible for supporting county objectives and department initiatives in an HR program.  Specifically, they are active in recruitment; retention; investigation of general and prohibitive practice claims; performance management; benefits; classification & compensation, and/or related human resources activities. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated and self-directed. 






Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration; 3 years HR Generalist, or progressively responsible experience in the various HR functions; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.   Depending on area of assignment, candidates need to be versed in employment law, performance management systems, compensation and/or benefits.  Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and Excel.  PeopleSoft experience preferred.
