Job Details

Under general supervision of the Director of Human Resources and in collaboration with Office and Project Managers, the Recruiter will identify, assess and bring top talent to Hardesty & Hanover. The Recruiter will be responsible for guiding hiring managers and candidates through the selection process, performing full lifecycle recruiting, maintaining excellent relations with hiring managers, and candidates.


Essential Roles and Responsibilities

  • Recruits, screens, and interviews for designated firm wide exempt/non-exempt staff positions.
  • Meets with internal applicants regarding transfers/promotional opportunities; assesses internal applicants' qualifications for vacant positions.
  • Ensures all hires meet the criteria established in the job description.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the complete recruiting function, including research, sourcing, networking, behavior-based interviewing and closing.
  • Shares recruiting trends and innovative techniques to maintain a competitive state-of-the-art recruiting practice 
  • Communicates effectively by proactively keeping others informed, sharing ideas in a team environment and promptly addressing recruitment matters.
  • Organizes and actively participates in professional career days, job fairs, on-site recruitment, open houses, etc.
  • Advises supervisory staff regarding recruitment policies and procedures.
  • Assists in the compilation of statistics for periodic and/or special reports.
  • Performs in-person and phone interviews with candidates
  • Administers appropriate company assessments
  • Performs reference and background checks
  • Makes recommendations to company hiring managers
  • Coordinates interviews with the hiring managers
  • Follows up on the interview process status
  • Stays current on the company’s organization structure, personnel policy, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master’s degree in HR Management desirable
  • Professional certification with SHRM, HRCI, AIRS or ASA a plus
  • Prior talent acquisition experience required; engineering recruiting experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
