General Job Description


Under the general direction of the Director, Human Resources, and in accordance with protocols, policies and procedures established by the organization, the Recruiter is responsible for all areas of the selection process including but not limited to partnering with hiring managers, sourcing, job descriptions, social media and retention strategies, etc. The key to success will be the ability to develop a thorough understanding of the spaces in which we recruit and establish recruiting networks, relationships and innovative recruiting techniques with strategic initiatives created and communicated appropriately.  

1.     Manage a full cycle recruitment process which includes sourcing candidates,          communication with candidates and hiring managers, screening and                    evaluating applicants, arranging interviews and participating in the                      selection process while maintaining a recruitment budget.

 2.     Partner with hiring managers to understand best recruitment strategies               and identify hiring needs while ensuring job requirements and                             expectations are clearly understood and candidates are assessed against             appropriate criteria.

 3.     Identify best channels for internal and external advertising of job                         vacancies, including internal postings, professional associations, job                     boards, cold calls, personal referrals, social media outlets, and recruitment           events.

 4.     Source active and passive candidates while developing a pool of qualified             candidates in advance of needs and continuously update applicant tracking           system.

 5.     Identify key behavioral and technical competencies that drive success,                 share recruitment sourcing strategies, and set expectations around                     process and timeline.

 6.     Complete a strategic sourcing and social media strategy using platforms               such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, company website, and related career           pages.

 7.     Coordinate onsite and phone interviews, as well as schedules for interview           teams.

 8.     Include representing McCrea and all affiliated companies by attending job             fairs, vocational and technical schools, as well as entering all area high                 schools establishing relationships with all area high school guidance                     counselors developing a program to place graduating seniors into our work           force.

 9.     Collaborate with HR Team to develop and implement non-traditional                     networking events and meetups while growing strong relationships with               industry leaders and community partners.

 10.   Assist or execute the offer process while also supporting and participating             in the onboarding orientation of new employees.

 11.  Manage employee referral program and formal internship program.

 12.  Track and report key metrics designed to measure and predict recruiting              activity.

 13. Serve as a support and partner in special HR projects associated with                   employee engagement, satisfaction or organizational development and                 success.

 14.  Other duties as assigned.

Potential candidates should have a PHR or similar certification in the HR/Recruitment area. Candidate should have a proven track record of full cycle recruitment processes.  A plus if that experience is for a blue collar work force.  This position requires frequent local travel so reliable transportation is required.
