Store Operations/Human Resources (Northern Region)

 This position reports to the Regional Human Resources Manager.  The Regional Human Resources Representative will be based out of the San Francisco Bay Area and support the Northern Region.  Assists in managing the HR function for assigned stores and/or distribution centers, providing administrative support to the Regional Human Resource Manager. This includes, but is not limited to, associate relations, recruiting, onboarding, performance management and training.

Minimum Requirements: 

Candidates must have a BA/BS or equivalent combination of education/experience. Must have minimum of 3 years Human Resource experience directly related to Employee/Associate Relations experience. Prior experience in the other areas of HR such as: performance management, staff planning, staffing, and training/development is required. Retail Management Certificate preferred. Because of the special access this position will have to company data we are unable to employ individuals who have family members working for the company. 

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Responds to and investigates associate complaints through to resolution.  Defers to Regional HR Manager as needed. Provides advice and counsel to managers regarding personnel practices, policy and employment laws
  • Provides recommendations relating to counseling, coaching, and discipline.  Approves coaching, verbal and written disciplinary action.
  • Upon receipt of approved involuntary termination, ensures termination process is completely executed
  • Assists associates with questions, concerns and inquiries related to payroll, benefits, policies, procedures and programs
  • Partners and supports with Regional Human Resources Manager (s) and other Human Resources team members to develop and drive HR programs and services in geographically assigned region
  • Supports the staffing process and recruiting for non-managerial store and/or distribution center positions
  • Conducts exit interviews and evaluates the feedback
  • Participates in the planning and coordinating of associate activities and recognition
  • Respond to requests for Spotlight password resets, run recognition award reports and do associate history research
