Purpose of the Position (why does this position exist?):

The Regional Recruiter is responsible for more than just finding great talent. This position is responsible for creating, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive outreach plan that will develop and secure a pipeline of talent for years to come. This includes the full life cycle of recruitment activities including sourcing, screening resumes, interviewing candidates, negotiating salaries, extending job offers, etc. It also includes working with Regional leaders and field-based HR to develop strategic and tactical staffing plans to effectively support the talent acquisition process, as well as tracking and managing open requisitions.

 

 

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary recruiter for one or more regional companies
  • Facilitate the full recruitment life cycle
  • Partner with other HR Directors to understand recruitment needs and hiring dynamics in their assigned areas
  • Work collaboratively with hiring managers by executing the in-take process to understand business objectives and candidate requirements for open positions
  • Source candidates using various sourcing methods to fill open positions in a timely manner
  • Screen candidates by conducting interviews by using phone, in-person and web-based interview methods in order to effectively and efficiently qualify each candidate
  • Identify and recommend candidates to hiring managers for interviews
  • Guide and coach hiring managers through the recruitment and interview process
  • Manage the pre-employment process steps for job candidates
  • Participate in employment recruiting events, such as job/career fairs, open houses, and information sessions.
  • Use Taleo Enterprise Edition (TEE) applicant tracking system and other recruiting software to track and manage applicants through the recruitment & selection process
  • Complete and process all recruitment paperwork to seek approval to hire job candidates
  • Extend offers of employment to candidates who have been approved and complete the hire process providing correct new hire paperwork to the HR Coordinators for processing
  • Provide superior customer service to candidates and internal & external customers throughout the recruitment process; ensure all verbal and written communications are accurate, clear, concise and professional
  • Complete background, drug screen and reference checks for selected candidates
  • Identify real and potential recruitment & employment-related concerns and escalate to the Manager of Talent Acquisition, Regional Leaders and HR Director
  • Proactively recommend recruitment best practices
  • Track and use key metrics to drive continuous improvements regarding candidate sourcing, recruitment decisions and the quality of hires

 

Requirements

Required Qualifications/Experience (degree, certification, years of experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years of work experience in recruitment/talent acquisition
  • Comprehensive knowledge of recruiting practices, processes and procedures including relevant Federal and State laws pertaining to recruitment and employment.
  • Ability to understand and work with Affirmative Action Plans.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%
