Position Purpose:


With the guidance of leadership, this position will be responsible for the planning and administration of all employee recognition programs. The Reward and Recognition Specialist's primary focus is providing an inspiring career experience, recognizing key contributions to organizational success and providing leaders the tools needed to make employees feel appreciated for the work they perform. This position contributes to employee retention and employee engagement.


Nature and Scope:


The Reward and Recognition Specialist will work with all levels of leadership and staff as a member of the Human Resources team. This position will manage and coordinate multiple projects and will need to be very flexible in order to meet specific deadlines and accommodate concurrent priorities.


The position will focus on developing key relationships and developing and delivering effective recognition programs in support of retention and employee engagement. The Reward and Recognition Specialist will work with the HR Business Partners and use feedback derived from surveys to continuously improve and expand recognition programs and a culture of appreciation.


The primary responsibilities for this position include: 1) employee events planning and implementation; and 2) administering the Employee Recognition Programs, including, but not limited to Renown Rewards Service Awards and Employee of the Month.


The responsibilities of this position also include administering other employee benefit programs; such as, Benefits Fair and Health Fair.

Minimum Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred


Must have college-level knowledge of English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources or related field required, Master's Degree preferred. Proven experience in a similar role may be substituted for a degree.


Experience in employee benefits, employee recognition, events planning or human resources required.




PHR or SPHR or CEBS or CBP preferred

Computer / Typing:

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
