Job Details

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the Firm’s benefit plans including, but not limited to, medical, dental, life, disability, accident, critical illness, flexible spending accounts, and 529 Plans
  • Day to day administration of all benefits plans ensuring the Firm’s compliance with applicable federal and state regulations
  • Facilitate leave of absence process and applicable paperwork including FMLA, state and private disability programs; Partner with the Firm’s Payroll Administrator for salary continuation
  • Act as a liaison between employees and insurance carriers to resolve claims issues in a timely fashion
  • Collaborate with management team and benefits brokers to create and maintain rich benefits offerings for the Firm
  • Deliver benefits orientation for new hires and newly eligible enrollees
  • Coordinate and facilitate ongoing benefits education meetings including webinars and on-site workshops aimed at enhancing employees’ knowledge of the Firm’s offerings
  • Coordinate and facilitate on-site annual open enrollment meetings
  • Partner with HR Analyst/Benefits Support to create and analyze benefits related data and make applicable recommendations for program enhancements, based on knowledge of competitors, industry and market standards
  • Vendor invoice reconciliation and processing
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of benefits administration; Ideal candidate will have experience working with multiple EIN's
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple, internal partners across the Firm
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on upholding the highest levels of confidentiality
  • Ability to recognize and respond to employee issues with a sense of urgency
  • Strong knowledge of health and welfare plans and pertinent federal and state regulations including FMLA, ERISA, COBRA, ACA, Section 125
  • Experience with annual benefit plan renewal process and Broker/Vendor negotiations/partnerships
  • Experience with HRIS system deployments, specifically Benefit Modules
  • Experience with Wellness Programs and administering Wellness initiatives across an organization
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently; Proactive
  • Ability to thrive and excel in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Up to 50% travel at times throughout the year
  • Comfortability with public speaking and presenting in front of large groups
