Job Details

Manages and supports assigned business groups in conjunction with HR Business Partners with attracting, retaining and engaging employees, by providing various compensation services. Analyzes, recommends and implements processes in support of consistent and equitable application of compensation guidelines throughout the corporation. Oversees administration of various annual process including incentive, merit, and equity. Works to ensure company's pay practices are fiscally responsible, competitive, and pay for performance driven. Responsible for the internal audit of various plans and process associated with compensation. As a senior staff member, this position may mentor and train junior staff members

Will consider remote work location. Must be able to be in Lancaster 1-2 days per week

Essential Duties

Advises clients on issues related to compensation administration policies, and may consult with legal and/or outside consultants. Conducts job evaluations by reviewing and ensuring job descriptions are up-to-date, conducting desk audits, determining FLSA status, analyzing market data, and internal comparisons. Conducts Equal Pay and Targeted Salary analyses. Administers and/or supports the corporate Compensation programs, such as the annual market analysis, starting salary recommendations for college hires, geographic salary structure analysis, salary spending guidelines, and common review date. Point of contact for compensation related systems. Serves as project manager, team member or advisor on compensation projects by gathering, organizing and analyzing data as well as presenting findings and recommendations. Audits existing policies, procedures, systems and researches emerging compensation issues; proposes recommendations to enhance current or create new compensation programs. Supports an environment of continuous improvement, collaboration, and partnership

Provides consultative support in relation to implementation of the compensation programs. Responds to and resolves questions of a complex and confidential nature related to the compensation programs and helps to ensure compliance with the regulatory environment

Advises and provides consultative support with regard to unusual situations which fall outside the guidelines. Assists with annual review and revision of compensation procedures and other compensation related documents, ensures related processing procedure guidelines are kept up-to-date, and communicates those changes and deadlines to management

Assists with year-end administration of the annual compensation programs, this includes the annual merit, corporate and business unit incentive plans and equity. Generates reports and tracks the completion of multiple time sensitive process. Assists with the audit of the annual process, is responsible for documenting and compiling the final audit report for internal audit review. Coordinates updates HRIS systems as necessary with regard to tracking and participation status

Works on special compensation projects as necessary. Assists with the review and implementation of new rules and regulations. Participates on cross-departmental teams and communicates with members of staff at all levels. Assists with the review of current process and proceeds and recommends changes through process improvement and through new technology review. Works with HRIS, Benefits and HR Business Partners to provide guidance from a compensation prospective



Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience. Specialty: Business administration or human resources. (Required)


5 or more years Compensation, including job evaluation. (Required)


Certified Compensation Professional or Society for Human Resource Management certification. (Preferred)
