The Senior Director/Director, Leadership Development will play a key role in building the leadership capability needed to support Regeneron’s rapid growth by designing and delivering practical, creative, and effective leadership development strategies and supporting offerings across all levels of leadership. Specifically, this position will be responsible for the identification of leadership development needs, both now and in the future, and ultimately designing programs that both close the current leadership gaps as well as building future leadership capability.  


  • Establish an enterprise-wide strategy and philosophy for leader development

  • Build and deliver leadership development programs

  • Intra-organizational Collaboration

  • Design and deliver an approach to onboarding leaders


• Masters degree in OD/IO/BA or related field is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years experience designing and delivering leadership and management programs
• Minimum 7 years experience directly managing and supervising personnel
• Excellent project management skills including planning, logistics, program management, and scheduling
• Deep expertise in developing leaders at all levels in a global organization
• Ability to scale content to meet the needs of the level of the learner
• Expertise with adult learning theory and fitting delivery method to content
• Understands the 70-20-10 model of development and can recommend/support experiences that help leaders develop
• Strong coaching skills
• History of building and maintaining positive relationships both internally and externally
• Ability to collaborate and partner with other subject matter experts and business leaders
• Ability to influence and educate leaders on leadership development including the purpose of leadership development, the role leaders play in developing other leaders, and the activities needed to support effective leadership development.
• Can effectively cope with change and can shift gears comfortably
• Highly effective in ambiguous environment and able to produce maximum results with little direction and guidance
• Can decide and act without having the total picture
• Self-motivated and directed, possessing an ability to motivate others
• Ability to manage multiple complex assignments, with proven ability to assess competing priorities in a high energy, fast paced environment
• Strong business acumen, client-service, and results orientation
• Strong communicator with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Ability to facilitate content to multiple audience levels
• Can negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups
• Job requires significant local travel to business sites
