Senior Human Resources Manager/Director of HR

The Senior Human Resources Manager/Director of HR directs the department’s people, activities and resources to ensure alignment and performance with the mission and objectives of the company.

Reporting to the CEO, this position works with the Directors Team and other leadership positions to ensure that key strategies and initiatives are met.

The Senior Human Resources Manager/Director of HR oversees the coordination of recruitment, orientation, compliance, benefits, compensation and employee relations. Additionally, they are responsible for the development and implementation of departmental budgets and objectives, all with an intention of maximizing the human potential and business objectives of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, standards and requirements consistent with the administrative, legal and ethical requirements of the company
  • Administers corporate policies and procedures to all employees
  • Manages any employee relations issues
  • Manages direct reports as well as staffing issues including hiring, orientation, evaluations and disciplinary actions
  • Monitors and understands turnover, investigates and resolves employee issues holding a vision of high levels of employee satisfaction
  • Monitors and continuously improves policies and procedures to maintain efficient and effective employee services
  • Ensures compliance with all local, state and federal guidelines and policies as well as company guidelines to protect the business and its employees
  • Researches, analyzes and administers compensation programs, assists with job analysis, evaluation and performance management

Salary and Position Commensurate with Experience

Requirements

Education, Skills and Business Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of leadership responsibility in Human Resources
  • SHRM certification required
  • Demonstrated ability to use independent judgment as well as discretion in matters of significance regarding employee relations
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and a variable schedule as necessary
  • Good critical thinking skills, effective communication ability and willingness to work in a stressful environment when called upon
  • Ability to act decisively and take appropriate actions with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in English and Spanish, both spoken and written
