Job Summary:

The senior human resource generalist performs duties at the professional level in some or all of the following functional areas:  employee relations, training, employment, affirmative action and employment equity program, benefits management, and payroll functions. This position reports to the HR Manager.

             Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and facilitate the delivery of consistently exceptional HR services in the area of on-boarding, employee communications, organizational development, training, performance management, employee relations, benefits, compensation, talent acquisition, compliance and coaching.
  • Monitor the organization’s culture to ensure alignment with our core values.
  • Support the team’s employee opinion survey efforts by helping create, and drive action plans.
  • Ensure compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audit Forms I-9.
  • Assist with employee performance evaluations and ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and coordinate employee recognition programs.
  • Maintains HR files in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Plan and organize company functions.
  • Administer Worker’s Compensation and serve as a primary point of contact in case of workplace injury.
  • Maintain all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies.
  • Coach, counsel and guide managers before executing employee disciplinary actions.
  • Manage and track all employee disciplinary action.
  • Conduct exit interviews.
  • Special projects as assigned


              Skills and/or Experience Needed:

  • Demonstrated competency in MS Office.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Must possess the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively, both internally and externally and demonstrate a high and constant level of professionalism. 
  • Strong team player who builds collaborative relationships with business partners. 
  • Highly motivated self-starter and achievement oriented.

              Language Skills:


  • Must possess excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Must possess unparalleled business writing skills generating clear, concise and grammatically correct written communications.

             Educational Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree, SHRM-CP preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a Human Resources Department with a focus on Employee Relations.
