The Opportunity:


The goal of Advanced Bionics is to improve the quality of life for people with hearing loss. Advanced Bionics LLC is seeking a human resources professional to support the employees and the Human Resources team for AB LLC. This individual will play a critical role in supporting AB in its recruitment, employee engagement, performance management, and employee relations activities. This role will work closely with the HR head to ensure that hiring and employee relations are addressed with the best service for the department and the organization. This individual will work directly with employees and leaders across several functional areas throughout the organization to actively participate in providing value added HR support, services, and programs including administration of compensation, performance management, benefits, employment-related compliance matters, and other duties and projects as assigned.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:


Consultative Human Resource Services:     ~30%


  • Partner with business leaders in determining needs of the organization and develop strategic people strategies which enable the business functions to succeed in recurring, developing and retaining top talent.

  • Serve as champion of company culture and values, partnering with business leaders to secure delivery of specialized programs and services.

  • Provide guidance and counseling to business leaders and employees regarding HR and business topics, policies and practices.

  • Ensure effective communication to employees of Company-related information.


    Recruitment:          ~30%


  • Manage the recruitment strategy and the day to day operations

  • Phone screen and interview qualified candidates

  • Provide recommendations for hire based on interviews and other screening activities

  • Facilitate the interview assessment process and work with departments on creating qualified criteria that they can use to hire more effectively.


     Employee Relations:           ~15%


  • Act as employee relations contact to assist employees and leaders in resolving issues and grievances

  • Respond to employee inquiries and support leaders with employee relations matters

  • Work with department heads and other leaders to develop strategies to address employee engagement deficiencies within the departments.


    Performance Management:~15%


  • Assess employee development needs, make recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions

  • Clarify and drive the execution of HR processes, such as performance objective-setting, annual and mid-year performance appraisals, career discussions, succession planning, compensation review, etc.

  • Identify training needs and utilize corporate L&D team to design and deliver appropriate L&D events/workshops.


    Payroll/Benefits:     ~10%


  • Follow up on inquiries from employees and Shared Services Organization

  • Assist in the roll out communications for benefits annual enrollment period

  • Respond to employee inquires on payroll and benefit questions and escalate to Shared Services Organization when appropriate


    Perform other duties as necessary or as requested by HR Head




Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field

  • Master’s in Business Administration or Human Capital Management preferred but not required

  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) a plus

    Work Experience, General Skills, and Attributes

  • Minimum 10 years related experience in Human Resources, ideally with a generalist HR profile and exposure to all HR related processes including performance management, learning and development, compensation and benefits administration, and HR Systems

  • Demonstrated strong talent assessment and talent acquisition skills

  • Significant background in leading and effecting organizational change and culture

  • Highest level of communication skills in written and spoken formats including facilitation and presentation across all levels of employee groups

  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and efficient time management with the ability to prioritize workload

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work collaboratively to build, develop and implement process improvements

  • Familiarity and understanding of employment laws and hiring and employee discipline practices

  • Solid foundation in performance management and organizational development practices

  • Demonstrated ease of using human resources software programs, including those for applicant tracking, compensation, benefits, and personnel management

  • Strong work ethic including the ability to maintain high level of confidentiality on sensitive issues

  • Computer applications abilities including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
