Requirements:
  • Bachelors’ degree in human resources, finance, economics, mathematics or other business-related areas. MBA or advanced degree is preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with at least three years’ experience in management and/or strategic leadership. C Suite experience preferred
  • Extensive HR experience (Organizational Development/Effectiveness) including time as a Business Partner with the proven ability to forge relationships with senior leaders
  • Experience across the portfolio of HR disciplines
  • Evidence of delivery of practical HR solutions to critical business issues
  • SPHR designation desired


Depending on factors such as business unit requirements, the nature of the position, cost and applicable laws and regulations, Emblemhealth may provide work visa sponsorship for certain positions

Summary:

Partner with assigned business group(s) to communicate and execute HR functions, programs and processes utilizing experience and expertise to build relationships, solve problems, and develop and execute on HR strategic and business initiatives while effecting seamless change management

Accountabilities:
  • Work with the VP of HR and senior HR Leaders to help develop the company’s HR strategy in support of the business; develop clear, actionable steps to help drive HR and business objectives
  • Provide a full range of HR consulting services and problem solving including employee relations, talent management, organizational design and development, talent acquisition, performance management, etc. for assigned business group(s)
  • Partner and build strong credible relationships with assigned business group(s) and proactively recommend strategic organizational development initiatives that address the evolving needs of the business and lead HR-driven programs that will result in positive change
  • Assist business leaders in identifying, prioritizing, and building organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes that help drive organizational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Leverage HR Centers of Excellence & Shared Services in initiating and improving the effective delivery of HR products, services and processes for assigned business group(s) while integrating and sharing best practices
  • Represent HR at the business table and become a trusted advisor to senior leaders and management teams. Maintain an in-depth level of understanding of functional areas/lines of business
  • Maintain required knowledge of legal requirements necessary to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Partner with the legal department as necessary
