  • Play key role in the design, development and administration of innovative, competitive, and cost-effective benefits plans including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, health savings accounts, retirement plans, and other benefit programs for the US and Canada
  • Manage benefits third-party vendors and consultants including contract negotiations, administration and service levels agreements for the US and Canada
  • Oversee execution of timely and accurate benefits administration processes, including benefits enrollment, annual enrollment processing, year-end processing, COBRA, HIPAA, and other benefits administration activities to ensure efficient processes and exceptional customer service
  • Work collaboratively to integrate the wellness program with the health plans and to develop prevention and intervention strategies that address the health risks of employees and their families
  • Develop and implement programs that educate and assist employees in achieving financial wellness
  • Promote employee awareness of benefits, including maintenance and development of website materials, electronic and printed communications, summary plan descriptions and plan documents
  • Engage and support employees, retirees, HR business partners, and leadership in all benefits matters
  • Ensure all benefit plans are in compliance with all current federal, state or provincial regulations or guidelines including governmental reporting and participant disclosures
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned



Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience in the design & administration of benefit programs in the US and Canada
  • Experience managing outside vendors and consultants
  • Strong project management, analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to find innovative solutions, focus on continuous improvement, provide direction, and champion change
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address all levels within the organization
  • Effectively handle issues and demands from multiple customers and competing priorities
  • Ability to drive tasks to completion to achieve key objectives and results
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive HR information in a confidential and professional manner
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of HR and benefits laws and legal requirements

Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Familiarity with SAP and strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access)
  • Knowledge of global benefit plans a plus
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist certification

Required Yrs Exp:

  • Minimum of 10 years experience with 5 years in a supervisory/leadership role.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
