SUMMARY:The Senior Vice President of People is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation. The SVP People provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the executive management team, employees and the Board of Directors. Directly responsible for leading the entirety of the human resource function including HR delivery, recruiting, talent development, compensation & benefits, diversity and inclusion.  The Senior Vice President of People will be a key member of the leadership team and ensure the input of the Company’s employees is heard.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all aspects of human resources including talent acquisition and retention, rewards and recognition, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, culture, training and organizational and leadership development.

  • Function as a strategic business advisor to the CEO, providing counsel on Company strategy, leadership and talent.

  • Lead the Company in talent management and recruitment.

  • Contributes to the development and execution of the strategic business agenda.

  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and insures Company’s compliance.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive functional HR processes that are cost effective and market competitive.

  • Develop compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance.

  • Design and communicate Company employee policies and procedures which define and reinforce our desired culture and ensure compliance.

  • Oversee an effective the annual performance management and wage/salary program which drive continuous productivity improvement.

  • Partner with the leadership team in creating an environment in which the culture is a key factor in the growth and retention of talent and business success.

  • Work directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.

  • Collaborate with managers on Company-wide efforts that enable the employee experience and establish the “PartsSource Employee Brand”.

  • Supervises the staff of the Human Resources Department.

QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will be first and foremost a leader. S/he will have a successful and responsible track record of Human Resources leadership within companies that are well regarded for their cultures.  Experience at a world class technology company and/or fast growth company a plus.

  • Experience in helping high growth companies thrive and succeed including talent recruiting, management and development.

  • Experience successfully managing complex change initiatives.

  • Strong capability in compensation design, strategy and execution.

  • Effective influencer and collaborator as well as an empathetic mentor with the ability to motivate others.

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering to agreed-upon commitments and timelines.

  • Experience working in the private equity model.

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to articulate ideas clearly and thoughtfully.

  • Strategic workforce planning experience.

  • Experience working cross functionally to improve processes and the overall employee experience.

  • Critical thinker with the ability to provide real-time analysis and recommendations during meetings.

  • Ability to communicate effectively to a broad demographic of individuals including sales teams, IT, finance, operations and the executive staff.

  • Expert talent evaluator and builder of great teams.

  • Team player, team builder and leader.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to HR and general business practices.

 

 

Requirements

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

A degree in Human Resources or related field and an advanced degree is highly desirable with 15-20 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Technology and software experience preferred.
