This position can be located in our Southborough, MA (soon to be Brighton, MA), Des Moines, IA, or Indiana-based offices in Batesville or Indianapolis.


The Senior Analyst will contribute to the development, management and implementation of the Company’s welfare, retirement and wellness strategies for its U.S. operations. Reporting to the VP, Benefits, the Senior Benefits Analyst will research best practices and partner with vendors to recommend plan design, benefits cost strategy and metrics.

 

  • Performs benefit analytics, trend analysis, benchmarking and reporting to support annual enrollment strategy decisions, competitive stance and quarterly metrics

  • Participates in industry surveys, including preparing our response, and analyzing the results and forecasts. May prepare recommendations and presentations for management and the Benefits Committee

  • Completes analysis on benefit plan design alternatives with the goal of evaluating cost effectiveness and competitive stance. Partners with vendors to understand best practices and process improvement recommendations

  • Serves as the benefits compliance subject matter expert -- remains abreast of regulatory and legislative updates to ensure regulatory reporting and disclosure is completed timely and accurately.

  • Reviews Summary Plan Descriptions, Summaries of Material Modifications (SMMs), Summary Annual Reports (SARs), Certificates of Coverage and policies to ensure plan documentary compliance

  • Partners with vendors and consultants to complete health, welfare and retirement nondiscrimination testing, auditing and contribution funding.

  • Serves as the project manager for the annual benefits enrollment process. Partners with Marketing to draft and influence annual benefit enrollment communication campaign and topical highlights

  • Serves as the Benefit Plans Committee secretary

  • Maintains vendor relationships to support elevated administrative issues, compliance and reporting initiatives

  • Maintains employee confidence by keeping benefit information confidential

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or equivalent academic area of focus 

  • Must have a minimum of 6 years of experience in benefits or comparable human resources experience with strong benefits administration and analysis

  • CEBS preferred

  • Excellent Microsoft Office experience specifically Excel and PowerPoint

  • Demonstrated analytical experience

  • Experience presenting complex data clearly and concisely

  • Experience interpreting complex regulations

  • Demonstrates strong vendor relationship and project management skills

  • Strong customer orientation to deliver value to key stakeholders

  • Possess strong communication skills and poise to present self and ideas with clear, concise and fact based information to persuade and influence others

  • Must demonstrate intellectual curiosity

  • Team player with strong collaborative skills

  • Action and Results Oriented, achieves high-level sustained performance and results

  • Sound judgment and ability to manage, escalate, and prioritize their work

  • Adaptability, effectively responds to change, ambiguity and uncertainty with confidence
