About the MOX Project:

CB&I AREVA MOX Services, LLC, is under contract with DOE’s National Nuclear Security Administration to design, build, and operate a MOX Fuel Fabrication Facility (MFFF) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, South Carolina. DOE authorized construction to begin in 2007.

 

Once completed, the facility will manufacture MOX from uranium and weapons-grade plutonium and encase it in fuel rods designed for use in existing nuclear power plants.

Summary:

The Sr. Human Resources Generalist will perform the following responsibilities:

  • Assist with the Annual Performance Management program processing

  • Perform Exit Interviews and prepare termination paperwork

    • Ensure any money due to MOX is collected/tracked

    • Track Exit information and graph quarterly

  • Track headcount numbers for employee figures:

    • Staff Augmentation monthly

    • AREVA monthly

    • Contractors monthly

  • Collaborate with legal counsel internal and external as needed to process H1B hires

  • Manage FMLA and other leave programs, tracking, communication and provide a monthly report of continuous, intermittent and other leave types

  • Respond to non-union unemployment claims

  • Field questions from employees and managers interpreting HR policies, must direct specific questions to SMEs

  • Enter purchase order data into the Asset Suite Program

    • Enter and track materials /invoices - update CCRS

    • Perform staff augmentation entry, routing and tracking

    • Data entry for job postings, job fairs, ordering, etc.

  • Assist recruiters and new employees with relocation administration details and reporting to payroll

  • Assist with various HR projects

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, HR, or other relevant area required

  • 6+ years In a Generalist role including FMLA coordination work experience

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills--both written and verbal

  • Must have strong knowledge of HR laws and ability to transfer to business setting

  • Must be customer-oriented and flexible to changes in job duties/work location

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel -- strong report generation skills

  • Demonstrate organizational skills proficiency

  • Trustworthy and confidential--able to maintain highly confidential information

  • Must be team-oriented and able to work well with others

     

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • PHR certification preferred
