Job Details

Mesa Water District, located in Costa Mesa, CA. is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner/Analyst.  This is a highly experienced generalist performing a variety of complex and difficult professional and analytical assignments related to the human resources function. Incumbents in this class possess a comprehensive knowledge of overall District operations and specialized knowledge of research methods and regulatory standards affecting Human Resources. Work requires creativity and resourcefulness to accomplish goals and objectives. Incumbents require specialized knowledge, abilities and skills and must exercise a high degree of independent judgment in the performance of their duties. Discretion is necessary in administering a complex and sensitive area of responsibility. Incumbents are expected to demonstrate a high level of independent problem solving. Confidentiality is required.

TENTATIVE INTERVIEW SCHEDULE:
Assessment and Oral Panel Interview:  Thursday, February 15, 2018
Selection Interview:  February 22, 2018

SALARY:  $7,252.00 - $9,997.00/monthly (Exempt)

Requirements

MINIMUM & DESIRED QUALIFICATION:

EDUCATION / TRAINING:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Public Administration or related field.  Masters Degree or Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) certificate is desirable.

EXPERIENCE:
Five years or more of increasingly responsible, professional human resources experience require, preferably two years in a public agency.  Three years of experience as a human resources generalist, specifically in coaching, performance management and labor/employee relations.  Working knowledge of NeoGov/HRIS and CalPERS is desirable.
