Job Summary: 

Manages and influences the development of large, complex Colorado Permanente Medical Group (CPMG) Human Resources projects with Regional or multi-regional scope.  Leads long-range projects which have significant impact on the achievement of integrated company objectives and strategy.  Maintains and supports a service orientation and drives for efficient practices which have the effect of streamlining Human Resources services for our medical group. 

Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

·         Develops and manages project plans, including defining deliverables, key milestones and critical path across the entire Human Resources function at CPMG

·         Influences and makes recommendations to senior leadership regarding complex projects

·         Facilitates planning, collaboration, outcomes, and execution with diverse stakeholder groups

·         Develops project outcome success measures and associated communication plans

·         Identifies needed resources for projects, defines, assigns major project roles, and accountabilities.

·         Identifies project barriers, constraints, risks and provides recommendations to mitigate

·         Balances schedules, scope and budget, renegotiates with sponsors and stakeholders;  as necessary

·         Formulates project methodologies and communication plans

·         Facilitates improvement and simplification efforts, and develops implementation recommendations that are well thought out and appropriate for the organization

·         Develops models to communicate impact of projects on resources and associated workloads.

·        Develops, maintains, and effectively manages relationships at all levels across the organization

·        Communicates and presents project status to a variety of audiences of varying levels

·         Aligns projects with strategic objectives and identifies opportunities to increase efficiencies, cost-effectiveness, quality, and service

·         Documents project process and outcomes for reference in future work

·         May develop relationships with vendors for products and services related to particular projects.  May monitor vendor contracts to ensure that contract commitments are met

Required Minimum Education:

•   Related Bachelor’s degree, e.g., business, health care management, human resources.

•   Project Management Institute Certification(s).

Required Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications:

•      Five or more years of project management experience, including management of large-scope, complex projects, preferably in a health care environment.

•      Exceptional communication, influencing and partnering skills at all organizational levels required.

•      Extensive knowledge of health care issues and the health care industry.

•      Exceptional high-level strategic thinking.

Proficient with MS applications, including MS Project, applicable project management software, and Visio.
