Are you up for the challenge of managing a team dedicated to the management of California Correctional Health Care Services’ (CCHCS) newly formed Succession Management Program?

We are seeking a driven, knowledgeable, and proactive leader with a solid background in succession management to guide this program’s growth and implementation across all 35 correctional institutions, regional offices, and headquarters.  If your skill set includes succession and/or workforce management and planning, supervisory experience, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines you may be just the person for this fast-paced position!

In this management role, you will supervise, plan, implement, and direct the activities of analytical staff of this evolving unit.  Additionally, you will provide guidance and act as a liaison to control agencies for administrators, correctional institutions, regional offices, and line program staff in the areas of succession management; consult with administrators and program managers on sensitive and/or complex succession management activities; develop procedures and instruct staff in the gathering and preparation of data to support workforce planning; and prepare strategies and participate in management discussion regarding CCHCS’ succession planning efforts.

To thrive in this position, you must have knowledge of principles, practices, and trends in human resources, including management and supportive staff services such as budgeting, personnel, management analysis, planning, and program evaluation; the ability to analyze data and present ideas and information both orally and in writing; demonstrated ability to consult with and advise administrators and other stakeholders on a wide variety of subject matter areas; and knowledge of principles and practices of employee supervision, development, and training.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to join this dynamic program – you may apply online at www.ChangingPrisonHealthCare.org. EOE.
